I originally wasn't going to add a review but I don't think there are enough honest people reviewing this place and the ones that are honest aren't coming here to drop a review to help fellow people in the area save their money. For the people that recently reviewed stars, I fear for your health. If you think this food is good, then you must eat out of a dumpster. Red Wok is trash. For my wife and three kids we paid almost $ and the food was flavorless and bland. The Dr. Pepper tasted like soda water and the seating is so tight you're sitting too close to fellow customers. I would recommend eating at your local prison before this place.

You’ll find Red Wok on Thomas Rd to be one of the best buffets in that area. Depending on the time of day, the food is consistent and fresh. The options are simple, there’s no flash or pizazz here but what they do have is good quality food being brought out consistently. I hate going to a buffet and having to wait for a new batch of whatever it is that I’m trying to eat. They have soups, desserts, what I would call California rolls (sushi), and a basic Mongolian BBQ grill with beef, chicken, and some other protein I just can’t recall at the moment. The staff was attentive and bought me out drinks quickly and I didn’t even have to ask. The place was clean and spacious. They even had a back room that sat I’d say another - people that wasn’t even being used! The place is huge and for a place that big and so full of people I’d say it was pretty clean which counts a lot with me. Even the restrooms were decent which goes a long way with me too. Plenty of room for parking and the area isn’t that bad considering central Phoenix. If you find yourself heading east on Thomas past the and want to have something good to eat try out Red Wok.

I recently visited the Red Wok in Phoenix off Thomas Road, and I must share a deeply concerning experience. While eating, I discovered a rubber band inside the crab meat on my plate. To clarify, this was not part of the shell or claw but an actual rubber band embedded in the crab, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, they dismissed it by claiming the rubber band must have come from the bundle of noodles. This excuse only heightened my frustration, as it still points to severe negligence in food preparation and quality control. When I requested a refund due to this alarming issue, they outright denied it, refusing to take responsibility for such a serious matter. This is a clear health and safety hazard. What if a child or baby had eaten this and choked? The thought of the potential danger is horrifying. Such an unsanitary and careless practice is unacceptable, and the lack of accountability from the staff only compounds the issue.I strongly advise others to think twice before dining here. The lack of basic hygiene standards and customer service demonstrates a disregard for both safety and satisfaction. I hope this review serves as a warning and prompts the management to reflect on and improve their practices to ensure no one else has to endure a similar experience.

Came in at night. Paid for my meal and a dirt Pepsi. Finished a whole plate and started making another one before my waitress took my receipt. When I got back to my table I only had a water, no diet Pepsi.I kept waiting for her to come by for my Pepsi or for me to grab her attention but she spent all her time cleaning forks or attending table near her.It wasn't untill I was on my third plate of food before I was able to her attention and get the diet Pepsi I paid for. About mins.Food was decent but allot of it was bland. Sushi was old and dried out. A lot of the chicken was hard. They clearly let a lot of food stay out under the warmers for longer than it should be.At one point there was only one spot for plates. All the other spots were empty.I will not be back.
